BRITISH RAILWAYS BOARD   Large 33in x 16in folded Track & Signalling diagram covering Willesden and West London Line 1976.  In very good condition considering the size   £20

 

THE PENGUIN GUIDE TO THE RAILWAYS OF BRITAIN   by Edgar Jones, published by Allen Lane, 1981 hardback with dust wrapper, 377pp. A comprehensive survey of the entire network from early days, packed with information, many route maps   £7

 

BIRMINGHAM CORPORATION TRAMWAYS   Nice little lot of  photographs, postcard size, of trams in the streets of Birmingham, various locations,  8 fine photos   £10

 

VICTORIA COACH STATION   5in x 7in Press photo of the elegant building just before it opened in 1932, contractors Lovatt just clearing up.  Details on back of photo states it will serve 2500 coaches a day and other info.  Good condition   £10

 

LONDON’S FIRST GREAT SUPER GARAGE   1929 Press photo 6in x 8in of the Lex 5-storey garage in Little Poulteney Street which had just been opened by the Duke of York (later King George VI).  A fore-runner of the multi-storey car park   £7

 

LONDON’S NEW 50-CAR GARAGE   1929 Press photo 6in x 8in showing the interior with cars under repair by the large church window - the building was formerly used as a Wesleyan Church and was situated at Hampstead   £7

 

MULTI-STOREY CAR PARK   for 1,000 vehicles in Rome.  Press Agency photo 7in x 5in shows exterior view taken at the time of the opening, July 1929, a great innovation.  Details (in German) on back.  One corner clipped, otherwise very good   £7

 

WASHINGTON USA MULTI-STOREY CAR PARK   c1930 Press photo  8in x 6in showing a block of business premises, the owner of which has converted the roof into a car park.  The cars were conveyed by means of a lift   £7
