LOUIS WAIN   THE BOYS OWN PAPER  for 5th November 1892, 16 pages including full page  10in x 7in of sketch at a hairdressers with twelve cats causing mayhem, typical Wain signed.  The paper also contains various articles and stories including How to Build a Fire Escape.  Some foxing but not too serious   £20

 

LOUIS WAIN   THE BOYS OWN PAPER for 11th September 1897, 16 pages including one page of ‘Revels by the Sea’, a drawing 10in x 7in by Wain. No less than 17 cats are featured performing various antics.  There are also various articles, stories and sketches by other artists.  Very good condition   £25

 

LOUIS WAIN   ‘What do you think of my latest bargain?  I’ve saved a farthing a yard’  says cat holding up material.  Full page from original book , black and white image 5in x 7in   £18

 

LOUIS WAIN   ‘The Confidence Trick Baffled’, Black and white of three gossiping cats in village street 5in x 7in, original page  from 1908 book, reverse with small Wain sketch, both signed, corner crease (clear of image)   £18

 

LOUIS WAIN   ‘A Dreadful Motor Car Accident in Catdom’ but not cars as we know them - these are an aerial variety - one has just had a mishap but there is a policeman in sight.  Black and white c1902, 6in x 8in, slight staining, full page from original book   £8

 

LOUIS WAIN   ‘The Bird Has Flown’, single cat in woodland, full page from original book, black and white  image 5in x 7in, good condition   £8

 

LOUIS WAIN   ‘The Watch Dog’.  Snarling dog on chain, page from original book c1908 image 5in x 7in, reverse with small sketch of seven dancing cats ‘The de Plungers Ball.   £12
